How does it make you feel when
you hear “fans” dissing your new album,
and/or preaching that all they wanna
    hear are your early realeases?

What do you resort to when

Why does Tom use Rickenbacker guitars? I don’t have a problem with them , just curious.

Also, is there any particular reason why Against Me!’s songs don’t rhyme?

Huge fan. Keep up the awesome work.

    advantages and disadvantages of

as opposed to having a label help

What happened to the 2010 Uk tour, why was it cancelled? And, if I’m allowed two questions, what was your INTENDED meaning behind ‘I Was A Teenage Anarchist’, because there has been a lot of pseudo-debate about it on sites like Youtube and I’d like to know what you were actually feeling when writing it?

Now that AM! is no longer with Sire, where will the band go next? You guys went back to Sabot for the High Pressure Low 7″, so will they have anything to do with the next LP or any other future releases?

  14. Jon Wright
    01/11/2011 at 1:37 pm

Now that you’ve split from Sire Records, does this also signal the end of the bands’ relationship with producer Butch Vigg?
I’m loathe to say it, but I find his production a little grating and kind of inappropriate for Against Me’s style of music.

  15. Mario
    01/11/2011 at 1:43 pm

    Any plans to visit Spain?

  16. 01/11/2011 at 1:56 pm

Do you plan to make any more music videos for any of the songs off of White Crosses, and do you plan on writing a new record for 2011?

  17. Josh
    01/11/2011 at 2:27 pm

Now that you’ve left Sire are you going to actually start making music again or are we just going see more garbage like new wave and white crosses?

I know Tom started Against Me! as a solo project, but how did all of the current members come to know each other and join the group?

Is their any chance that you will start going to a reformed church and start believe in Jesus the man God.

So, which date have you guys set to cancel next gig in Sweden?

  21. 01/11/2011 at 3:49 pm

Why do you guys have to do a show in Gainesville, but not anywhere else? Gainesville is a great city and all, but it soooo fucking far from Ft. Lauderdale. You guys did a show in Pompano Beach with….. Flogging Molley @ the Pompano Beach Ampitheater. You guys should do another show down here, maybe @ Club Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale or @ the Culture Room or something.

I remember when you guys used to play squats, was in Miami in 03, reinventing axle rose used to be a battle call/get pumped up album, you last album white crosses is phenomenal with “I was a teenage anarchist” pretty much sums up my entire thoughts on the radical movement or lack of it as a whole. Was their a specific event or a culmination of them that changed your views, or was it that the price of fame showed you the perks of living within Capitalism? I guess just your thoughts on the intellectual development of the band as a whole within the context of being such a figurehead within some radical circles.

What do Against Me think about 9/11 and the New World Order?

  26. 01/11/2011 at 10:20 pm

I have been wondering, since the first time i saw the music video for “I Was A Teenage Anarchist” i thought it kind of resembles Wax “California” by Spike Jonze music video. Just wondering where the inspiration for the music video can from?

Does leaving Sire mean leaving Butch Vig? If so do you think you’ve learned enough working with him to make your next album as good as your lat two?

Your pop sensibilities really came out on White Crosses, how much of this was organic and how much came out of the recording sessions? Can we expect a more raw and intense sound for your next album?

Did the Tonight We Have 35%, Searching for a Former Clarity, and The Ocean saga continue on White Crosses? (Im referring to the interview you did with the against me fan forum)

How does it feel to write songs that people consider their life anthems, that people have tattooed on them. and really how does it feel to have a huge impact on the lives of so many strangers?

  35. 01/13/2011 at 6:56 am

Id like to start with this; I may not be able to tell you every fact about against me, or its members. But I can tell you, in full sincerity, in the throws of life, nights of passion, intoxication and everything inbetween, I have never felt more at home than front stage at buenos in seattle, or anywhere else screaming with the crowd and the band. No where else has time stopped. I love leaving with a pic, setlist or maybe a nod from one of the guys, noticing I was never happier than front stage at their show. With that said, i’m someone who’s dealt with suicide my whole life. I’ve commited, even died. Still here. The only play on it I ever admit to people is that im “death proof” I have the tattoo from the grindhouse flick as a reminder. At 21 I never thought i’d get this old. At 16, I thought 18 wouldn’t happen. Here I am again at this same point, my question to you guys is have you ever dealt with that.. feeling isn’t the right word, drive? I suppose its what people who want to be cops or scientists get. But in a more useful direction. And if so, are you still afflicted and how do you overcome it? – that was a book I know it wont make “the cut” but im hoping I can keep my head up till atleast feb 4th for the next show here!

Was Suffocation related to Disco, Clarity and Ocean?

How come you guys and Dropkick Murphys skipping DC on your tour?

  38. Sara

Against me! is one of my most favorite bands, simply because the music and emotion seems so raw. Even at concerts, there’s a connection that I feel with you guys that I haven’t felt with a band before. (I especially love how Tom seems to have a smile on his face throughout the entire set.) Anyways, I was thrilled when White Crosses was released and I couldn’t wait to play it through the first time. When “Because of the Shame” started playing, I was overcome with emotion because I really felt the lyrics applied to many Americans, including myself. What was the inspiration behind that song?
